How I am happy is by being in the water, swimming.

Here's my song How To Be Happy from when I swam my solo routine in college. It was raining, and I didn't win anything, and my dad's hand is a little shaky with the footage, but I might've been the first synchronized swimmer to swim to his/her own music!

Hope you like it.

FEARLESS

The first cover I ever did on YouTube was a video of me singing Fearless. I was young. I didn't think I could understand what it meant to be fearless, but I loved Taylor Swift and she was my idol. The first song I learned to play was a song by her called "Come In With The Rain." I wish I could remember how to play it.

But anyway, I recently went through a traumatic experience, and I won't go into detail, but I realized that fearlessness comes from the heart. Just as does the music I was trying to teach myself over the last few years.

Here's my first cover ever (and yes it's embarrassing, my brother filmed it on his little camera, and that's not even my guitar!)

I hope you like it.

How to find random places to take photos

The best way I've found places is to go exploring!
  1. Go for walks around your neighborhood at whatever time is convenient and take photos of buildings you like. Return to them when there's good lighting.
  2. Go for a drive or an Uber ride and write down intersections that you like, or screenshot your location if you're lazy.
  3. Look out for cool walls, textures, and interesting foregrounds/backgrounds to make a photo really pop!
  4. Go for hikes!
  5. Ask people where their favorite places are in the city that you're in, and get some insight into places you may have never been before.

There's so much beauty and creativity all around us! Finding a friend to take photos with is always helpful as well!

Let me know some of your favorite spots to take photos in the comments below!

How to become a photographer, "accidentally"

10/31/2017

I somewhat "accidentally" became a photographer today at a pumpkin patch.

I was taking some photos for a friend, and a cute little one was playing beside us. His dad didn't mind us taking some photos with him in it, and soon, the kid became the star of the show!

Here are some simple steps you can take to accidentally become a photographer:
  1. Bring a somewhat decent-looking camera wherever you go.
  2. Don't be creepy and don't use the photos for anything weird or for money.
  3. Take a friend along with you and photograph them first, so it makes it look like you are already professional.
  4. Always send the photos to whomever is the subject of the photos (or their parents). Because they'll appreciate that and see that you're serious about the craft.
  5. Then feel free to use the photos in your online photo journal/blog or portfolio!

This is just a place to start - but hope this is helpful to any hopeful photographers out there!

Below are some photos from the day:
Feel free to comment your own ideas and photos below! I'd love to see what you're working on :)
